1) Extra layer of waterproofing membrane in critical potential leak areas.
2) The highest quality A.S.T.M. 30 lb. with a 4" overlap instead of the standard 2" lap.

A. Diamond cut granules add dimension and depth to the shingle while giving a multifaceted light reflection.
B. UV Blocker protects against sunlight and extends the life of the shingle.

C. Micro Weave Core adds strength to resist cracking and splitting.
D. Special selected asphalt assures quality and improves weathering.

Plans, Details and Specifications:

  • Prepare comprehensive Roof Plans, indicating approximate roof dimensions as well as prepare comprehensive Detail Drawings for new roof construction.
  • Prepare (General Project Conditions outlining Owners and Contractor's respective rights and responsibilities as well as any special conditions peculiar to this project.
  • Prepare a Standardized Bid Form.
  • Prepare Comprehensive Specifications, which will typically include, but not be limited to, the following:
    • Roof demolition guidelines.
    • Substrate preparation requirements: Carpentry and millwork requirements.
    • Roof insulation type manufacturers and Installation guide lines, including tapered insulation layouts If necessary.
    • Roof membrane type, manufacturers, specification numbers and installation guidelines.
    • Roof flashing type, manufacturers, specification numbers and installation guidelines.
    • Sheet metal flashing type, thickness and installation guidelines.
    • Fastener type, manufacturers and installation guidelines.
    • Sealant type, manufacturers and installation guidelines.
    • Bitumen and/or adhesive types, manufacturers and installation guidelines. Root walk way type, manufacturers and installation guidelines.
  • Products, manufacturers and installation guidelines for the flashing of all miscellaneous related components such as curbs, equipment pads and supports, pipe penetrations, pitch pockets, expansion joints, parapet walls, adjoining walls, roof edges, scuppers and roof drains.

Combined Permalite tapered roof insulation and Permalite roof insulation board can accommodate virtually any roof condition with slopes of 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" per foot in thickness from 1/2" to 2 1/4".
